Sign this petition and tell the Board that we the shareholders deserve the underused space of OURS for bicycle storage! This petition was brought to the board before the annual meeting on 6 May 2015. During the meeting an informal survey of hands was taken of the bike storage room interest and seemingly over half the attendee were in favor. Hopefully with more shareholders signing on, the more weight behind this and the sooner the room could be opened ASAP!

please add your Unit # with your name.

Thanks!

Add value to the community by offering available space to be used as a secure bicycle storage so residents do not need to lug the bikes up stairs to their units. Not meant to be a profit generator for the corp, use at your own risk, lock recommended - will get access to secure room outside the Super's office across from the laundromat. This would be an amenity that future shareholders could look for, hence resale value.

The Board keeps ignoring our demands but the sheer volume of owners demanding this space creates a reality they can no longer pretend does not exist. We proved that the space is needed and now they have no choice but to face our demands head on.

This is long overdo ...... Not only does bringing a bike in and out of the building increase the the likelihood of real damage to the hallway and doors, what about the chance of injury to the person carrying the bike,or to another person? What would the liability to the Corporation be in the event that a person other than the bike owner is injured as a result of the bike falling down the stairs ? I think that is an open law suit just waiting to happen. The stairs are a common area, the Corporation could be liable, especially since there is an area where bicycles can be safely stored. A bike storage area would also benefit ALL of the shareholders as an additional selling point to an ever increasing health conscience society.

... not to mention the painting that is being done on the doors & door frames in the entryways - would save wear & tear being able to keep the bikes in the basement away from banging into the nice new paint. Some places don't even allow bicycles in for that very reason, now that would be a shame!

Having a bike rack would be a great deal for me and my family. As a person who commutes to work from the train I would love to be able to ride a bike to the train station. As it stands now we don't have the room in our place to store a bike. Also looking forward as our son grows we would like to bike with him and not keep the bikes at another location.

It is a great idea. I have a bicycle that I put at my sister's house because I can not carry it upstairs to my apartment

This idea is great for all young & adult. It would also protect our hallway renovation/investment. Please consider and atleast poll all 80 units for current and likely to get a bike if this was available.
