Petition Background: The bike room in the Cadence Apartment garage requires a fob entry, yet somehow the bikes are being dismantled and/or stolen from the room. Many residents have informed management on this and nothing has been done. As residents who pay for the bike room (and other community areas) as part of their monthly fees, we should feel safe leaving our personal property there.
Petition Action: Management should install cameras and display prominent signage informing residents and guests that the area is being monitored. The hired security team should ensure they are frequenting the bike room and reporting any suspicious activity (i.e. cut bike locks, tires removed, etc.)
We, the undersigned, are concerned residents who urge the Cadence Apartment (Conam) management to act now.

My bike was stolen from the cadence bike room. The thief was able to detach the mounting bar from the wall and slip my ulock off. Cadence found footage of the person with my bike and claims they had a key FOB! but they offered no names or support to track my bike down.
Due to ongoing security concerns I keep my bike in my apartment. This causes unnecessary clutter but until I am confident in the safety of the bike room I will need to continue this.
Trek bike stolen with bike lock looped through frame, both tires, and wall mount. Only helmet and seat remained in bike room
This has been a longstanding problem. Someone took my mongoose and has been riding it and even left their bike helmet on it. This has to stop.

A disappointing action when I’ve reported bike thefts several times the Cadence Management provides no community communication. No update to the community that a theft has occurred. They stand behind the ‘You’re At Your Own Risk’ policy.
