From spring through fall, many Mastery Martial Arts families enjoy biking to class. This is not only an eco-friendly method of transportation that gives kids some extra exercise and fresh air, but it also frees up parking spaces in a lot with limited room for those who have no other option but to drive.
Because 286 Maple Avenue is not public property, the town of Barrington cannot install a bike rack. The property owner would be responsible for purchasing one and having it installed. The cost of a bike rack is fairly reasonable, at about $350-$550.
Not only would Mastery families benefit from this addition, but it would also benefit the restaurant, fitness club, and daycare that share this parking lot.
Please sign to show your support of the addition of a bike rack at 286 Maple Ave, Barrington, and ask the property owner to help the community and the businesses that occupy this space.
My kiddos ride over to Mastery from the Roberta platt neighborhood in Barrington. However, when they arrive at 286 Maple, they have to leave their bikes in the parking lot or on the business sidewalk, obstructing the walkway for patrons of other businesses.

There are often several bikes outside Mastery and a bike rack would make the property look much nicer and enable people to lock up their bikes so they won’t need to leave them on the sidewalk to keep an eye on them. The presence of a bike rack would show support for the biking community, which most other businesses in proximity to the bike path already do.

We bike to mastery a few times a week from April through October, we would love the addition of a bike rack!

It’s a relatively small expense to enhance one of the few commercial plazas in town. I hope the property owner considers this proposal

Both of my kids are students at Mastery and we would love to be able to safely leave our bikes outside during class rather than drive to class every time.

What a great addition this would be. The bike path is right near Mastery and we would love to bike there!
