This petition stands for students to get equal and fair return of their money if campus resources are shut down due to COVID- 19 in the Fall 2020 academic semester. Right now, we are paying for Student Event Ticket Fees - which can be opted out if you call Financial Aid at 402.865.8520 (within the first week of classes). We are also paying Library Fees (and if the library is no longer in use would be fair to get partial to full return on). --- You can access your Student Account on MyBlue, be informed and advocate for this cause.

The emails I receive from you all show just how heavy this financial burden is for many of us during a difficult year. I am still working behind the scenes to find the right person to address these fee structures because the current silence from administration is not justification for keeping our money.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that so many of you are feeling the same financial strain I am. It has been an exhausting road to get this far but I am not stopping until we see some accountability.

seriously money is tight for everyone right now. just give us a refund if the campus is going to stay closed anyway.
Why am I being charged for a gym membership I cant even use cause of the lockdown. Makes no sense.
Transparency on these fees would be huge in helping students understand why they are being charged. UNK as a whole is struggling financially as well, but that doesn’t mean we, as students, should be charged for resources we aren’t using.
We shouldn’t have to pay for services we are unable to use and other fees should not be added on to make up the difference.
I will pay the sports ticket fee so we don’t have to cut anything else RIP baseball. But if I am not able to use parts of campus I don’t want to pay for it

paying for stuff that isnt open is a joke. UNK needs to own up to this and give back what they took.
