The district has confirmed that the dismissal date for seniors will return to the traditional schedule. I appreciate the commitment shown by the 362 people who supported this goal. Please continue to monitor the official school announcements for any further details regarding the updated calendar.
The petition has now reached two hundred and fifty signatures. This level of interest confirms the importance of restoring the traditional dismissal date for our seniors.

The seniors before us got out early to be able to establish their college careers and I feel that we should be presented with the same opportunities

Seniors make up the majority of students taking multiple AP courses which finish their curriculums after AP exams in early-mid May. Extending our time only keeps kids inside of the school doing nothing in those periods for even longer than they would be already

It's completely unfair for seniors to have to stay for the whole year. If they have completed the requirements just like all the other seniors have there's no reason to make them hang around Centennial doing nothing for 2 more weeks

We deserve same treatment as past seniors. Personally I'd like more time with my loved ones before doing a bunch of work this summer.

This is not fair for the 2016 seniors. They have been the "Guinea Pigs" for multiple changes. (i.e. Parcc Tests, Standards Based Grading) They should be treated like other seniors and continue the tradition of seniors getting out of school in May.
