The Town Council voted against the ban and confirmed that retail shops will stay on Main Street. Your support made it clear that this community values fair treatment. Keep an eye on local council agendas to ensure these policies remain in place.
There is currently a petition for 'No Retail Marijuana on Main Street Breckenridge', trying to sway the Town Council's opinion on not-allowing retail marijuana shops in Breckenridge's Downtown Core/Main Street area. I have started this petition to allow people to show the council their opposing opinions. Why do we treat these stores any different from other legal retail stores? Please sign the petition if you disagree with the potential ban. This petition will allow the council to hear from everyone who may be affected by or has an opinion on this issue.
The opposition is trying to push their agenda on the Town Council right now. We must keep the pressure on by emailing your council representative today to demand fair treatment for all retail businesses on Main Street.

Tourists come to Breckenridge for a variety of reasons... and that includes retail marijuana. Main Street offers a convenient location to locals and tourists alike. "No MJ on MS" is hypocritical and discriminatory when alcohol consumption is encouraged in Town Events. "420-Fest" anyone?

I've been a bartender for 6 years and I also worked at a retail shop. I feel if there can be bars on main street then a retail shop should be allowed as well. I've seen the affects of alcohol on people and towns and it's allot worse than any affects I've seen marijuana have.

If we can close down Main Street to celebrate getting hammered in public, I don't think a couple of quiet pot shops on Main Street will tarnish the "family friendly" reputation Breck has. Let's not forget, people visit and love it enough to live here because it is lively and open minded enough to treat marijuana like alcohol.

Do no take the freedoms away that The People Voted for. The sale of cannabis has brought tourism, tax revenues as well as freedom to the town of Breckenridge.

This business needs to be treated like every other liquor store/bar on main st! Survived 5 years with no problems and don't see why all of sudden with legalization it's now a problem. If anything business around are getting more business because of BCC
