We, the undersigned residents of Westlake Towers, are writing to express our concerns and request a reconsideration of the recent change in the gym cleaning schedule.

We understand the importance of maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the gym, and we appreciate the efforts taken by the building management to ensure the health and well-being of the residents. However, the recent mandate to close the gym for cleaning from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm has raised some concerns among the residents.

The timing of the gym closure poses a challenge for many residents as it coincides with a significant part of the afternoon when people are likely to engage in physical activities. This timing disrupts the workout routines of several residents who find it inconvenient to schedule their exercise sessions around the closure period.

Prior to the recent change, the cleaners used to work seamlessly while residents were exercising, which allowed for a more flexible and accommodating gym schedule. We believe that reverting to the previous arrangement, where cleaning occurs while residents are actively using the gym, would be a more practical and resident-friendly approach.

Furthermore, it has come to our attention that this rule does not apply during weekends, and the gym remains accessible throughout the cleaning process. We propose that this weekend policy be extended to weekdays as well, allowing residents to enjoy uninterrupted access to the gym during the cleaning hour.

We understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness, and we believe that by allowing residents to use the gym during cleaning hours as it is done during weekends, we can strike a balance between hygiene and convenience.

We kindly request the building management to consider our petition and initiate discussions to find a suitable resolution that accommodates the needs of the residents. We are open to further dialogue and collaboration to reach a solution that benefits everyone.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to a positive response and appreciate your efforts in making our living experience at Westlake & Club W as enjoyable as possible.

Residents of this building need the gym not only for exercise, but for their mental & crucial physical health. Cleaning hours should be after closing, not during open hours. Make it make sense!

I work from home and this pause for cleaning is a huge annoyance as I like to work out on lunch

Clean the gym when the gym closes for the night like any normal gym. We pay too much for condo fees to not have our facilities available to us during the day.

It’s ridiculous that a condo gym closes during the day for cleaning. No gym anywhere does that. I understand gym equipment needs to be cleaned but can that not be done without closing. isn’t it better to space people out then to crowd them into other time slots? Please change this.

The timing of this closure is very inconvenient. It leads to other times of the day being busier than normal.
