Pool Chair Petition & Pool/Gym Open
1. Residents would like to have the poolside chairs put back out at the pool. Most people bring their own towels to put down on their chairs anyway. If an adult is concerned about Covid, they can wipe their chair down before the sit on it. We all sit on chairs in our businesses, schools, and restaurants and recreational venues. Other communities, hotels, and apartments have their chairs out - we should as well.
2. Residents would like the pool to be open everyday. Adults and children are home during the week and would like to utilize the facilities. We all have our own keycards to get in and monitor ourselves. Signs up everywhere stating swim at your own risk and no lifeguard present. Residents are okay with this.
3. Residents would like the gym open. Gyms have been open everywhere in other communities in our area (privately owned, apartment complexes, hotels, etc) There is no reason that an adult cannot wipe down their own equipment before and after their own use. Most people already do that anyway in a gym.
Residents would like to make use of the facilities that they pay for that are included in their HOA fees. Residents are willing to be responsible for themselves and take precautions. Any resident who is not comfortable using the gym or pool simply will not come or they will take additional precautions on their own to protect themselves if they feel the need.

I have been reviewing the feedback provided by many of you regarding the continued closure of our shared amenities. It is clear that the community expects the same access to these facilities that residents in neighboring properties currently enjoy. I am preparing a formal request to the association board to address these concerns directly.

The reception to this request confirms that access to our shared amenities is a priority for many neighbors. This momentum demonstrates a clear desire for us to manage our own responsibilities regarding these facilities.

It’s time for the double standard to stop. Open it up fully because you bringing your own chair to be safe and then go to Walmart and touch everything in there don’t make a lot of sense. We are grown people that make grown decisions every day to protect ourselves and our family. Please treat us like such!
We can wipe our own chairs off. The HOA can provide wipes and if the resident wants to, they can wipe their own chairs down. Some of us are senior citizens and it’s hard to carry chairs and beach bags with towels. etc.
We need to have the pool open every along with the gym and there is no excuse for the chairs not being out. The heat will kill any COVID germs! Who wants to drag their chairs up there. Board members listen to your neighbor’s. Why doesn’t everyone cut their fees in half since the board doesn’t want to make our amenities that we pay for available! I bet things would change then!
There is no scientific data to support the removal of deck furniture. There is no need for the HOA to occur additional expense. They simply need to post a sign saying use of the pool is at our own risk just like everything else.
I agree, we moved in a year ago specifically for the Amenities, we have a 17 month old have not been able to use any of these things yet but would like to.
Pool chairs would be nice again.
Please open the gym, open the pool up to full-time hours, and put the pool chairs out on the pool deck for the pool season. Sunlight is a wonderful disinfectant! The state of GA has loosened regulations on Covid and the HOA board should too. Adults who are concerned about Covid know how to clean equipment and wear masks if they don't feel safe. Work out at your own risk!!!! We have had WELL OVER a year to practice sanitation!

We are retirees who use the pool for range of motion exercise. Closing the pool on August 17th for daily use and restricting it to weekends use is unacceptable.
