The Veteran's Memorial Building is re-opening after seismic retrofitting! Unfortunately, the new management does not see aerial as being a priority and at this point in time has no intention of allowing it. Please, if you have every trained, performed, seen, or would like to see aerial arts at the Vet's Hall in Santa Cruz, please sign this petition. Your signatures will help show the County, the Board Members, and the new management how important this venue is to the aerial community.

The management is still ignoring our requests. We are preparing to bring these signatures directly to the next board meeting.

The momentum for our space is undeniable. It is clear that the community will not let aerial arts be pushed aside.

There are more aerialists today in Santa Cruz then there were 3 years ago when the Hall closed. the rental of this space to these amazing artists will bring a steady flow of revenue to the hall. its one of the few place in town ceilings high enough for the impressive tricks done by these acrobats. There is an opportunity to gain a monopoly on aerial class fees.

My father was a fully disabled vet and POW. I have been given many gifts by the Veterans Affairs Office, including my education, in exchange for the sacrifice he made for us. For these gifts I am very thankful. One of the gifts I received was many hours of aerial training space and the opportunity to study with some amazing aerial instructors at the Vets Hall. The Vets Hall is the only space I know of in town with heat and ceilings high enough to rehearse many aerial skills. We were so sad to lose this space when it closed and would be even more disheartened to see it reopen and not be granted access. My father was a huge supporter of my art and if he were alive, I know he'd sign this petition, as a veteran in support of the aerialists.

While I was restoring the ceiling, I was introduced the aerial life, and it has changed my life in positive ways that I never expected. I would love to see it change more lives for the better, and the Vet's Hall is a wonderful place for it to happen.

It would be a shame not to support an aerial arts program at the Vets Hall. What an incredible space for this work! Please consider supporting aerial programming.
