Santa Fe is in desperate need for a proper music venue! Promoters - Meow Wolf included - have stopped booking music shows in Santa Fe because there is not a proper venue! We believe that Santa Fe, as a city, should do something about this!
As Meow Wolf and other promoters are struggling to find venue space, there are CITY-OWNED buildings that go essentially unused!
- The City of Santa Fe developing a resolution for this issue with established music promoters
- The City of Santa Fe researching potential city-owned buildings that can house a proper music venue
- The City of Santa Fe investigating current usage of city-owned buildings to determine if the organizations are using the city-owned spaces effectively.

I am currently gathering data on city-owned properties to present a list of viable locations for a venue conversion. My next step involves securing a meeting with the City Manager to discuss the formal resolution process.

The volume of support has secured a meeting with the city planning office to discuss the inventory of underutilized municipal buildings. Drafted proposals regarding venue conversion requirements are currently under review by local industry consultants.

Exactly. Meow Wolf changed everything and now we have nowhere to go. Open up those city buildings!
PLEASE. We have so much local talent here with zero places to actually play. Its embarrassing.
Sick of driving to ABQ for every decent show. Santa Fe needs to step it up.
Finally. It makes no sense for the city to just let these spaces sit empty while the scene dies.

I miss the shows so much. The city is really dropping the ball on this one.
