By signing below I support and endorse the continued use of the 2515 East Vernon Road spaces for Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics, as it has been since 2009. I encourage you to do the same and to consider the extremely positive community impact this program has had in this town over the past 20 years. This has been evident in terms of tourism with events they hold and camps they run. This impact has also been clearly positive through programs, camps, outreach, workshops, shows and productions run by the club.

The feedback regarding our continued presence at East Vernon Road remains heartfelt and insightful. I am currently coordinating with local stakeholders to ensure the community impact described here remains at the forefront of the conversation.

This program brings many important things into the community. It is well recognized around the country and even globally. The city of Vernon should be supporting and nurturing the programs like this one if Vernon wants young to live in it.
We need to have the flexibility in our application of regulations in BC to support something wonderful that has emerged -- a national team training centre outside of metro Vancouver. This should be celebrated and supported. Please look for solutions instead of barriers.
My kids are gymnasts from Edmonton who had the privledge of attending a camp with RG Stars this summer. What an incredible resource Vernon has in The RG Stars club. This world class Rhythmic gymnastics club is a wonderful environment for young women. I hope to continue to visit Vernon so my kids can experience this amazing club.
The gymnastics program is already known to be excellent. It's important to note that the use of the land for this group has been successful for 9 years or so, and there has been no negative feedback from neighbours or community members. It seems to be simply a matter of administration to make sure it's zoned correctly.
This gym serves as a gateway for Vernon girls to discover their athleticism, confidence, and resilience. My daughter has grown into an amazingly tough competition, empathetic teammate and focussed student from the many lessons she's learned in that gym. Please do all you can to save this rare facility.
This club and organization is one of the best things for girls in the city of Vernon! Please keep it going.

We need to focus on youth activities, as it will keep our kids safe and busy. I have been to a number of competitions and the coaches are caring and knowledgeable. They not only role-model, but expect the older girls to act as mentors for the younger girls. This community is a must!
