Currently the town has been working to partner with a private prep school in order to bring new opportunities to our town. This includes a revamp of Rumsey park and the addition of a family pool, rec center, Olympic size pool, 2 ice rinks and other amenities. The town needs time to complete their due diligence in order to find the most optimal solution.
The town has stayed quiet while they review these plans, and the waiting game is wearing me thin. I am digging through the fine print of these contracts to make sure our park stays for everyone rather than just the private school students.

Reaching this level of support feels heavy because it proves how many of us rely on Rumsey Park. The path ahead remains steep but seeing this growth reminds me why we started this fight in the first place.

This is a great think for this community and for our kids I will support it 100% and can’t wait to watch my son play baseball on those new fields

As a fan of kids and wanting my kids to have a better time and to avoid some of the Payson pitfalls my older daughters experienced. I am wholeheartedly in favor of this plan

These are much-needed updates! As a parent who plans on raising my young kids here in Payson, I really hope we can invest in providing more amenities for the youth in this town.
