the board finally approved the proposal so we actually did it. i am so happy for our teachers and want to say thanks for sticking with me while we pushed for this. lets keep watching to make sure everything stays on track from here.

ive been talking to a couple teachers this week and they are honestly blown away by the support they see here. we are currently waiting on the board to acknowledge the proposal and i will let you know the second i hear anything back from them.

im honestly blown away by how much energy is behind this right now. seeing so many people speak up for our teachers is exactly what we need to get the boards attention.

As a fellow teacher in a neighboring district while living in Macomb, I fully support the teachers of District 185.
Don't ask our teachers to pay to fix problems they didn't create. Keep our schools great!
As a parent, a tax payer, and a voter, I support our teachers. Please approve the proposal that was presented by the MEA.
As a proud Macomb High alumnus and community member, I am saddened by the poor treatment given to teachers. These are professional educators, working long hours for little enough pay as it is. These are folks who do one of the hardest jobs in the world, day in and day out, right here in Macomb. Let's honor the contracts. We're all in this together.
We chose to buy our home in Macomb because of the quality of its school system. Please show the Macomb teachers the respect they deserve. Honor your previously contracted agreements.
As a voting member of Macomb District # 185 community, I do stand behind our teachers. I feel, the community is blessed with wonderful teachers! They deserve everything they are proposing!

The teachers of MCSD185 are a very dedicated and come to the classroom each day with top notch skills and expertise to give the children of the Macomb community the best education. They put in long hours continuing to educate themselves, preparing challenging lessons, constantly self-evaluating, and mentoring their students. As a group of professionals they are only asking that their previous contract be honored. Please treat them with respect as you would any other professional.
