I am deeply saddened by the lack of civility and respect for others that has characterized some people's interactions with our public bodies and elected officials. It is damaging to the community, it sets a very poor example for our children, and it does nothing to solve the problems and challenges that we ALL seek to overcome.
Thanks to the leadership of our school board, we have made it through the year so far with in person teaching in a safe environment. We are so close to the finish line - thank you for your dedication to the children of this community!
As a former teacher, I want to hear what they think. I definitely don't want political outsiders who have an agenda to have a say. Support our board members--and education staff.
As a parent of 3 D39 graduates I value that the board protects all students, faculty and staff and will not be swayed by threats and outside forces politicizing a crucial public health issue.
I am the parent of 2 current D39 students. I truly appreciate that the School Board members are doing their best to help navigate our schools through this pandemic. My kids are happy to be back in school this year, so I appreciate your efforts to keep our schools open.
While I disagree with the outcome of tonight’s board meeting, I appreciate the work of the board and our administration to try to do what’s best for our children.

Contrary to the very small minority of very loud voices, polls show the vast majority of parents stand with the school board in favor of mask mandates in schools. I stand with the board. Keep the mandate.
