I would like to see the BOE and the Superintendent function as champions of teachers, but I'm order to do that, the community must step in and adequate fund our education system.

As a proud Macomb High alumnus and community member, I am saddened by the poor treatment given to teachers. These are professional educators, working long hours for little enough pay as it is. These are folks who do one of the hardest jobs in the world, day in and day out, right here in Macomb. Let's honor the contracts. We're all in this together.
