The council just voted to pass the moratorium on large scale subdivisions. We forced them to pause and prioritize responsible growth through our persistence. Keep checking the county meeting minutes to ensure this plan stays on track.
Support the temporary moratorium on approval of large scale subdivisions in Lexington County. This moratorium will allow county officials the time to create a comprehensive plan for responsible growth throughout the county.

I object to clear cutting property and houses built too closely together. Developers should pay impact fees before building subdivisions so that infrastructure such as roads, schools, police and fire departments can be expanded to accommodate growth.

I am in favor of this moratorium to provide time to craft a long term growth plan for the unincorporated portions of our county. Unchecked growth without infrastructure and adequate land use planning will be detrimental to our property values.

I live off Wessinger Rd. where I won't be able to reach the highway if all the planned homes are built, not to mention water, sewer needs, and new schools. Uncontrolled growth will destroy the quality of life here for old and new alike.

There are 7 new subdivisions within 3 miles of our house. There needs to be MORE pre-planning for our area as our roads are one way in and one way out. Most of the homes have 3+ cars to each new home. New building permits should be controlled on an annual basis.

Traffic is out of control, roads are a disaster, first responders can’t get where the are needed timely. The developers should address and complete what is necessary for these issues before building homes is allowed to begin.

We do not currently have the infrastructure to support any more development. Due to current traffic, I just sat through 4 red light changes in Chapin, on Saturday, before I was able to get through the light. It's worse than that on weekdays.
