This man as a professional deserves to at least be given the chance to finish out his contract! Our community media sources should be ashamed at themselves for continuing to publish half truths and blantant lies. I have spoken to many teachers, parents, and administrators that all standby the good that he has brought too many aspects of our school district. Dr Rendell has put students first since the day he arrived in Indian river County. Maybe it’s time for the “politicians” and good old boys to put their Agendas to the side for once and really focus on what is best for our teachers and students! You run him out and we have to start all over again... until we run the next one out in 3 to 4 years. This district will never get ahead if we continue this madness!
I have spent the last few days finalizing a formal letter to the school board detailing the district stability concerns outlined in this petition. Several local reporters have reached out for comment regarding the timing of these contract disputes and I am preparing those responses now.

The growth of this petition reached a point that now warrants a formal presentation to the school board members. I am currently finalizing a letter to accompany these signatures for delivery during the next public session.

Mark has faced challenges with courage and conviction. Is he perfect? Of course not, no one has been for 2,000 years. But academic results and graduation rates have been improving among other key measures. STOP the impulsive actions and loose accusations without facts! To Board members: Keep focus on students and teachers....and serve our community with equity and integrity.

Dr. Rendell stepped into very tough conditions when he became superintendent, which is why he was hired in the first place. He has done a marvelous job of turning this county’s schools around, despite constant opposition from the board. This year, it’s worse than ever.
Dr. Rendell has remained professional and helpful, continuing to put the best interest of the students and teachers first.
I support Dr. Rendell whole-heartedly. Thanks for the great job you do every day.

Rendell is more educator than politician. He needs to have the Board honor his contract. We need good men.

My dealings with Dr. Rendell through business and Rotary, assure me that he is an honest man with great integrity. You should not scorn a person with these qualities, you should learn from them.

Dr. Rendell has served and positively supported students in his role as superintendent in many unseen ways that never make the news or highlights. For example, he created a student advisory board from each school whose principal-selected representatives meet with him personally to give feedback on school programs. Two of my children have served on that board and they love Dr. Rendell for listening to them and giving them a voice in decision making. During those sessions he listened to student feedback and explained school direction and programs. He has paid attention to student concerns and trends. He didn’t have to take the time for this activity, but he did. We support Dr. Rendell and appreciate him.
