Dave Hansen is trying to re-zone his residential property to mixed-use in order to provide much needed auto services in Shawnee and Bailey. The county has given him the run-around for over a year now. We are trying to show our community support for his project to present to the County Commissioners at his upcoming hearing.
Dave is a long time Shawnee resident and wants to serve the community by providing his services. He has built a wonderful 1,200 s/f shop on his 9 acre property to do so. This building is not visible from the road, and there will be no signage or advertising. This is simply a personal shop that will provide locals with an alternative to leaving Park County for their auto repair needs.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have stepped up to back Dave. Seeing this kind of support for a neighbor is humbling and it shows that this community really looks out for its own.

It’s government overreach to prohibit a person from providing a needed service and earning a living.
When other home based busnisses that benifiet the county are approved a few doors down, you have already set precedent.
He is attempting to provide a service to our community which will also add to the tax base. This will be good for our county.
As long as it is responsible and disposal of hazardous materials peroper, I am all for people making money where their talents reside.
I believe that more services would benefit the community of park county, including automotive services provided by locals. The zoning change to mixed use should be approved.
We need businesses, let him rezone!!
Let people do what they need to do on their own land.

It's his land not the county's land Let him use it how he feels free to use it. Him doing work on his property isn't going to affect the other people around him but for some reason Park County government doesn't want a good economy in Park County. But guess what I do want a good economy in our community so represent me and help our economy grow
