They actually reversed the choice and the awards night is back on the calendar for this year which feels honestly surreal after everything. I am just so relieved that all those students get to celebrate their hard work with their families like they deserve. Keep an eye on the boards …

Final supporters
The Academic Awards night is not being held at Assumption this year. This is the one night that honour roll students have where they are able to be proud of their accomplishments. sharing the moment with their family and friends.
This night is as important to the academic students at Assumption as the athletic banquet is to our athletes, yet our event is being eliminated.
Please show your support as a promoter of fairness in our school.

I really did not think this would gain so much steam so quickly but here we are and it just proves how much this actually matters to everyone. It is honestly overwhelming to see so many people backing this up because for a while I was worried I was the only one feeling this way about the awards night getting cut.

Kids deserve a night to be proud of their hard work. Keep the awards night.
Seriously? The school has money for everything else but can't host a simple awards night for students who actually study?
Why do athletes get a banquet but the honor roll kids get nothing? Makes no sense at all.
This is total garbage. The school needs to recognize academic effort just as much as sports wins. BRING IT BACK.
Unfair. Everyone should be celebrated.
