This petition should be signed if you are in agreement that Orchard Park should not have a policy of having all students at graduation be the same. Although senior night exists, we should be allowed to represent our academic and athletic achievements we have completed throughout high school at our own graduation. It will not only show others what we worked hard for but it can motivate those who didn't achieve the same to do better and achieve greater things in the future.
Graduation should be a celebration of individual effort. I am hearing from so many of you who want to showcase your hard work on that stage.

When I graduated multiple people wore military sashs, leis to recognize their heritage, Native American decoration, and 2 girls decorated their caps. None of these kids were asked to leave. I only graduated in 2015. What’s the difference? These kids were “highly respected sports players” OP has had a huge issue with favoring certain students, especially sport players. It’s time to recognize all students and what they have to offer. I’m OP proud, but things need to change

Administrators in WNY school districts have too much power. This is uncalled for especially in light of the inflated tax bills that parents pay for their children to attend some of these public institutions. How have parents and students completely lost power to have any say in the decision making process especially something that directly includes students and families. This is dispicable and part of the reason my family has moved out of state!

I bet It's because we're, "Blue Ribbon." Just because of this status doesn't mean our students should be punished, I mean, we're the reason the school is blue ribbon in the first place.

He, and many others, are choosing to fight for our country and should be able to show that at graduation and be allowed to be proud of it.

My son did track in this graduating class at Orchard Park. He wanted to display what he could about his accomplishments in track during high school but couldn't do so like every student there. I think it's sad. Graduation is not just getting your Diploma it's about your whole HS experience, it all should be celebrated!
