The Board of Commissioners finally stopped stalling and approved the rezoning request. These bureaucrats tried to drag their feet on progress but our pressure forced them to act. The future of this property is now secured.

Growth, economic development and optimal land use are main concerns for most citizens. In efforts to increase interest in the property which is listed for sale and encourage the progression of Jones County, GA, I am requesting the Board of Commissioners in Jones County approve my request to either rezone or subdivide the property.

Subdividing the property would create a new address with over 500 feet of road frontage on Gray Highway (Highway 129) and would leave the portion of the property with the main dwelling unscathed. The subdivision of the property would allow for the preservation of the historic house and would also allow optimal land use for the portion of the property on Gray Highway. Other commercial lots and businesses both new and old are already in close proximity to the property.

All potential interests and letters of intent received for the property have been from commercial buyers and multi family developers. There has been no residential interest in the property thus far.

Please take a moment to sign and/or comment in support of the development and progression of Jones County Georgia.

Thank you.

The Jones County Board of Commissioners continues to ignore the obvious economic potential of this property while our town stagnates. I am currently demanding direct answers from the planning office because their refusal to acknowledge the shift toward commercial development is stalling progress. They cannot keep hiding behind outdated zoning codes while opportunities for real growth pass us by.

I wholeheartedly support the subdivision of the property located at 387 Pulaski. It would serve as an opportunity to not only increase visibility of the historical area, it would serve to strengthen the community through taxable income, and general (within historical architectural constraints) area beautification.

Enough with empty lots sitting around. Lets get some business in here and keep the county moving forward.

I am for the subdivision of the property located at 387 Pulaski Street. The subdivision would maintain the historic house and allow for the best use of the land on the Gray Highway portion. Progression and development in Jones County! I’m for it!

They are putting a Popeyes across the hwy, I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to allow this property to be used commercially also
