We, the undersigned owners of property and residents of the community affected by the requested zoning change described in the above referenced file, do hereby protest against any change of the Land Development Code which would zone the property to any classification other than its current R1 (Single Family Homes).
We protest the requested change for all of, but not limited to, the following reasons:
- R3 High-Density Housing does not comply with the APC’s recently published guidance
- Increased traffic in a primarily residential area and the resulting safety concerns
- R3 High-Density Housing will negatively impact home values in the area
- R3 High-Density Housing will increase load on First-Responders serving our area
- R3 High-Density Housing will increase the likelihood of crime in our area
- R3 High-Density Housing may put stress on our local schools
- R3 High-Density Housing is intended for student housing
- R3 High-Density Housing will likely be sold and may cause maintenance issues
- R3 High-Density Housing does not conform to the current layout of Single Family Homes andwill change the demeanor of the area we have chosen to invest in

We are approaching the one hundred signature threshold which serves as my baseline for requesting a formal meeting with the area plan commission. I need each of you to circulate this link to your immediate neighbors to help us exceed that target before I submit the documentation next week.

Once again developers are coming in with no regard to infrastructure. How will the schools keep up how about fire and police. Even worse these folks are coming in trying to squeeze as much money out of as little space as possible.
High density housing is going up all over the west side. There are more than enough options within driveable distance. Protect property values and public safety by keeping this a single-family homes zone.
The increased traffic on state road 26 will be a hazard for an area that already has congestion in that area. It is an area with both hills and curves that cause limited visibility. I have lived in this area for 42 years. The steady growth of single family homes has been neighborhood friendly
I do not support the proposed re-zoning change from R1 to R3. This change would negatively impact our neighborhood, strain our already stretched first responders, and bring additional traffic to an area that already has dangerous entrances on curves/hills on a state road. This re-zone is not needed!
I ma strongly opposed to the rezoning. It is a terrible location in terms of its access to SR26. It will increase pressure on our already overburdened schools and dilute our fire and police resources. High density housing in a rural setting is like putting an 80 acre farm in the downtown area--ridiculas!
I oppose the rezoning to R3 housing. We are in desperate need of single family housing in West Lafayette and student housing is not a suitable use of this land. Thank you!
7 units per acre is just nuts in this area. Please put the kabosh on this project.

I live west of this area, and drive by regularly. High-density housing is inappropriate for this area and not in keeping with the US 231 Corridor plans. Stay closer to town!
