On Wednesday 1 November 2023 Kain Tsuseb and 2 accomplices were arrested on the farm Erindi Omahue by surrounding farmers, farm workers and Kyani Anti-poaching security group. The above mentioned suspects were involved in poaching by setting snares on the following farms, Ehameno, Ozombuto-ost, Ovitua, Erindi Omahue, Omihe. Animals found sofar includes

1 Eland, 4 Oryx, 2 Kudu, 2 Cattle. Unfortunately these numbers will increase as investigation continues,Since a snare is a passive killer and it is not always possible to remove all the snares.

Kain Tsuseb has an active warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court for pending stock theft/poaching cases. The abovementioned entities have been monitoring the involvement of these Individuals in the said numerous stocktheft and poaching incidents for months without any success.

However, dedication and tenacity translated to a successful apprehension of the said suspects.

Needless to say Namibian Farmers, especially during the last year, have suffered substantial damages with a definite escalation in the number of incidents and the number of animals stolen or poached across the country and the situation has become endemic. These criminals are becoming more brazen with every incident, slaughtering more and more animals at each instance. Animals have even been slaughtered and left to rot in the"veld".

In the pursuit of fairness and justice it is imperative that these suspects be denied bail so that a clear example can be set for future instances of stock theft. It is time to protect our Namibian Farmers , farming Communities and general food security in our Country. It is imperative to mention that, with verified information it has been established that the suspects are habitual transgressors and are not likely to desist with their illegal actions.

We therefore urge you to kindly sign this. petition. and circulate it to as many people as possible to oppose the bail application for these suspects.
