The board and its president has allowed our current amenities to be utterly neglected and in many cases a danger to our children. The board has taken a loan for $2million to build more amenities that many of us do not want. It is their claim that we can pay the loan back within 6 years without raising our dues but they are not talking about what it would cost to maintain these new amenities so expect your dues to go up. There is no possible way to do this other than to raise dues. More stuff=more expenses. If they can’t take care of our current amenities, how much worse will those get and how bad will the new amenities look in a few years.
A survey went out to the community in 2018 to ask what residents want to see as far as expansion of amenities. Since then, we’ve had tons of new families within a new demographic and their desires to cater to. The survey was also taken pre-Covid and many of us have changed our lifestyles and our amenities must reflect these updates.

We have so many amenities that are in need of repair. Many are even dangerous ! Let’s take care of what we have before we start new construction.
I want transparency from our board on where the HOA fees are being spent. This community has gone downhill since we moved here 5 years ago. Maintain, improve and repair what we have, before you look to construct anything new!
I’m in Shire Ridge - the dog park was a complete waste of money. The little dog area is full of weeds as tall as him,and my pup can crawl right under the fence into the big dog area! Please stop wasting money - replace the pool chairs, get some lifeguards, get some security cameras at the mailboxes and put in some flowers to make the community look as nice as it used to. Thank you!
Lakewood Hills I have been a Steiner Ranch resident for 15 years & our amenities are in disrepair. Our community was at one time well maintained & I have witnessed its decline over the last 4 years.
I agree. Let's take care of what we already have in pay for before we start building something new. I realize too that there are more families and we are a more diverse community, but if we don't care take care of what we have then yes our dues will just go up. Thank you

I support Amy Yukich in her campaign for better maintenance of current amenities and halting the 2.0 expansion.
