Final supporters
We, the students and parents of Caldwell High School, are requesting a traffic light be put in at the intersection of FM 2000 and HWY 21.
Reason being is students and parents are worried about their safety and the safety of others in the community. With there being a lack of time to cross with other drivers coming over the hill (at speeds of up to 75 MPH or higher), there are very high chances of accidents happening before and after school hours. This has led to an increase in injuries or even death. We as a community want to greatly increase our safety and decrease the number of these accidents.

Seeing one hundred people sign this shows I am not the only one terrified every time my kid drives through that intersection. It feels like we finally have a real chance to force the city to fix this dangerous crossing before another wreck happens.

I have spent my mornings watching the traffic at this intersection and the near misses are constant. Seeing the fear in the faces of parents dropping off their kids reinforces exactly why I began this effort. I am currently gathering accounts from neighbors who have witnessed accidents here to present to the transportation committee.

I am a senior at Caldwell high school and it's a serious risk going in between the people speeding at 75 on the highway
Please pass this... My husband has been part of one of the accidents at this intersection. It has changed our lives and he's not recovered yet. Please put a light up!
Almost been t boned here several times because the people coming out of 2000 and across 21, when the busses are turning into 2000 FROM 21, block the line of sight of oncoming traffic on 21.
I have personally had a wreck here when I was in high school. The is way too much traffic, especially when school lets out, for there not to be a light. The line of people waiting to turn to go to the school makes it very difficult to see the traffic on 21.
Needed, needed, needed for the safety of all using this intersectio .Also as a family who has to navigate this intersection with a horse trailer we feel this is a critical need.
I had too pass by a couple years ago when Emily got hit and we had to go around. So thank ful she is alive
This spot needs a light so badly. It's dangerous all the time but even more so for these students.

I am pastor of the Elizabeth Lutheran Church at this corner. I observe near misses several times daily and many wrecks each year. School traffic puts kids in danger twice each school day as well as all day long 7 days a werk.
