210 Winston Lane is a residential property. The owners are conducting non-residential activities on the property that create adverse impacts to the neighborhood including congestion, density, intensity, safety issues, excess noise, trash and negatively impact the aesthetics of the neighborhood greatly diminishing overall quality of life, peace and tranquility. No where in the Walton County Comprehensive Plan, the Walton County Land Code or the Inlet Beach Neighborhood Plan allows these activities to take place on that property.

We are petitioning the Walton County (FL) Board of County Commissioners to immediately stop these non-residential activities.

Updates

June 23, 2020

The volume of support has now reached a point where legal counsel is preparing formal correspondence for the Walton County Board of County Commissioners. I am meeting with a zoning analyst next week to cross-reference our claims against the current land development code. Please monitor the comments for updates on the filing process.

Inlet Beach is a public beach, not a privately owned resort controlled by a commercial vendor illegally masquerading as a private homeowner. The residential property (210 Winston Lane) must not be used for commercial purposes.

Rent Gear is basically a "Bad Neighbor". They don't follow established rules, have no consideration for other neighbors, and have no respect for the County's authority. They are operating an obnoxious business on a residential property. Please terminate their agreement for cause.

The situation is out of hand and because of the nonresidential activities on 210 Winston Lane, the road and curve have become the most dangerous turn in all of Walton County. It is not if but when someone will be hurt! I live at 232 Winston Lane two houses down from the property in question.

Commissioners, please vote to stop this. It is irresponsible to allow the greed of one property owner to ruin an entire neighborhood. You’d absolutely hate this if it were next to you, and I ask you to stop it. Our home is at 250 Winston Lane. John and Elizabeth Mazyck

We are the owners of 34 E-Scape Drive in Inlet Beach. At least twice a day we are trying to navigate the heavy traffic at the corner of 210 Winston Drive. Even on our bicycles it is difficult to safely circumvent all of obstacles. It makes no sense that a residential property can enable a business to operate from the residence.

We own property at 276 Winston Lane. Our street is already heavily Congested and very dangerous where the road bends near 210 Winston Lane. Allowing a commercial use off a property In a residential area is against code. Please stop this activity
