Concerning the zoning variance of the property located at 6066 E. 175 S. Walton, IN 46994 for Mineral Extraction and various Variances from Developmental Standards.

We, the undersigned, are concerned neighbors and homeowners who urge our leaders to act now to dismiss the request for the change in zoning by Engineering Aggregates due to (but not limited to) the negative impact on surrounding property values, noise, dust, traffic and disruption of the lifestyle we are accustomed to.

Updates

July 24, 2014

The quiet of our neighborhood is still threatened and these meetings with the zoning board continue to drag on. I am exhausted by the constant need to defend our own homes but I refuse to let this quarry move forward.

July 24, 2014

Reaching this point has been draining yet I am encouraged to see so many neighbors finally seeing the threat this quarry poses to our community. The momentum is here now and we have to keep pushing until the zoning board understands that our homes are not for their extraction.

I am all for business expansion, especially in Cass County. However, I think all Homeowners in the immediate area, whose property will suffer damages from from the new quarry should be compensated or assisted in relocating.

really hope the board listens to the people who actually live here. we dont need a quarry right in our backyard.

Traffic on 175 is already bad enough. Adding heavy quarry trucks will just tear up the road and make it dangerous for everyone.

The dust and noise is going to be terrible for us living right down the road. We moved here for the quiet not to listen to trucks all day.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA. Stop putting these big projects so close to our houses. Think about our kids playing outside!

Thank you Eric. I am also not against business expansion as I own a business myself but in the same token business has to consider the effects it has on people's way of life and the people who make these decisions must keep in mind the cost to others also.
