I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors are speaking up about this location. We are almost at one hundred signatures and I would be so grateful if you could pass this link to someone else who lives nearby to help us cross that mark.

Too close to two schools with young children walking to school everyday. In the middle of single family homes, this project makes no sense. Washington Co. should NOT transfer ownership or allow such projects. This plot of land would be better suited for a neighborhood park/green space.
When we moved to this neighborhood 18 years ago it was because of the schools and the fact that we had the second lowest crime rate in Beaverton. While I see this housing as a necessity, I can not understand putting this so close to 2 elementary schools.
Our county should be putting children's safety first as they are the most vulnerable members of our community. Housing for mentally ill and homeless within a block or less of two elementary schools is irresponsible and a creates an unnecessary risk for the children at those schools.
I'm not comfortable with this type of housing in such close proximity to two elementary schools where most of the students are within walking distance. Also think it needs to be built somewhere with closer access to transportation and mental health facilities.
To put a transitional house so close to TWO elementary schools and a church is a scandal, if not a crime. What's more, the house is to be managed by Luke-Dorf, who is currently the defendant in a lawsuit because one of their tenants sexually assaulted a Hillsboro girl in 2010.
I say no to transitional housing because I want to keep my property values up and I am selfish. Talk about "safety" is flat out ignorance or an attempt to mask selfishness. Really, guys, it's ok to be selfish. I am.
We the right to safe neighborhoods and to not be sold out by those who are supposed to represent the majority.

To close to schools. I have had experience with a mentally ill person who was to interested in the children at a school and he was flashing them to get a reaction. Mentally ill people deserve chances, but certainly not around children who can be scarred for life. I was myself.
