The momentum is undeniable. This proves the district needs to listen to the people of Lakeside.

I dis agree on a homeless shelter in Lakeside. We do not have a mass transit system needed to transport to and from Dr appointments, grocery stores, laundromat etc..
This would totally ruin our home's value, not to mention the security of my Family. We do not need this period.

Why?
Most people don't see how bad our homeless population is because we live in a rural area; but our issues go just as bad as el cajon or any other location. They need our help to move along and shelter is a good step. 'Ruin our home's value,' as one person said, is just ridiculous that you care more about property value than the lives of the people in our neighborhood who are struggling for help. Personally, I've walked around Lakeside quite a bit, talked with quite a few of our homeless population, been through camp sites etc and this isn't a issue we can just pass over so easily because people are scared of change in their own lives; even if it helps others. Don't be afraid to help and not sign this petition

Needs to be much closer to all of the services the Homeless need. Closer to Government offices, Classrooms where they can get education, jobs, and transit. Dumping this on the County, is not a fix.
