I support Superintendant Kent Scribner and the recently implemented guidelines as written in the student welfare policy. All children at FWISD deserve to feel safe and respected.

I am the mother of a thrans teen. I took my child out of school and homeschooled him because he did not feel safe at school. His younger sister just finished her first year at Paschal. I support Dr. Scribner.

This was not a problem last year. Why is it this year? I am glad the Super is thinking and compassionate. Politicians should leave education policies to the educators and stop seeking to segregate any part of the population. Especially children.

I support the FWISD policy of inclusion and allowing transgender children to use the bathroom of their gender identity because it saves lives. Give our children their humanity. Let them know it does get better.

As a nurse who has cared for transgender adults and children, and as the mother of three sons who attended FWISD,I am grateful Fort Worth has enough insight into the children of its city to select a fair-minded man who truly wants ALL students to succeed.

I support this policy to protect ALL children, not just some children. Stand strong Dr. Scribner.
