I have two children in FWISD, and I stand with Superintendent Scribner and the Board in support of the safety and well-being of *all* students.

I support this policy to protect ALL children, not just some children. Stand strong Dr. Scribner.

As a parent of a former FWISD student who is now a transman, I urge you to keep supporting trans students to prevent discriminatory practices.

This is a no-brainer. This is what teachers and administrators do for students every day. We make accommodations in order to make students lives easier. Whether it is an accommodation for a learning difference, or providing a classroom for kids to eat in peace if they are not comfortable in the lunchroom, or a place to use the restroom safely. It's what we do! I Stand with Scribner!

Superintendant Scribner should be commended for taking a stand for the rights of ALL of its students and not just the bigoted majority. The Fort Worth way is one of inclusivity and openness. Also, Fort Worth has been on the progressive side of social change with the introduction of one of the first Equal Rights Ordinances in the State of Texas. This has been for as long as I have called Fort Worth home. Sometimes the easy path isn't the just one. Thank you Superintendent Scribner for taking the uncharted and treacherous path forward. These young people undergo enough trauma without being subjected to this demagoguery, bigotry and hateful harassment. I stand with Dr. Scribner.

This was not a problem last year. Why is it this year? I am glad the Super is thinking and compassionate. Politicians should leave education policies to the educators and stop seeking to segregate any part of the population. Especially children.

As friends and neighbors of mine are raising children through the FWISD school system, I support my friends and neighbors in their pursuit of reasonable school policies and reject the politics of fearmongering and blind bigotry against students for their gender expression and identity. I proudly stand with Scribner.

It's not about bathrooms. It's not about parents not being informed that students and faculty can't bully their child. It is about Westboro Baptist Church "wannabe's" trying to disrupt and misguided and cause as much distention as they can. Please don't succumb to their hateful madness.

Dr. Scribner is providing a safe space for those children who do not have a voice. Those outside the binary are marginalized in so many parts of life.

As a member of the LGBTQ community and a teacher in FWISD, these policies are important in keeping our children safe. These policies will continue to impact the future of our children. We can't just think about next year; we must think in the long term. Times are changing, and these changes aren't about the adults who are trying to influence the outcomes. These changes are about the children. I proudly stand with Dr. Scribner.
