We need your help please!
The road outside our school is very difficult to cross and dangerous putting the lives of children, parents and staff in danger.
Following lots of 'near miss' incidents and then actual RTA's and a very serious accident in September, we desperately need a zebra/pelican crossing.
Our School Councillors are on a mission to make this happen. they are strongly supported by all the children, parents and staff.
We need Tameside Council to make this happen.
Please take the time to support us keeping everyone safe and avoiding other incidents.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. If we can reach five hundred signatures by the end of the day it would show the council just how serious we are about keeping our children safe.

Please make it safe outside school my daughter almost got hit by a car whilst using the crossing next time she might not be so lucky x
The area around St. stephens school is an accident waiting to happen. The traffic does not stick to the speed limit and I have seen all kinds of things happen jumping red lights, speeding etc. let’s hope this choice of action gets what the children deserve.
Woking at the school temporarily, I have witnessed numerous of near, serious accidents involving cars and pedestrians. This is especially made worse due to the two lanes that form on the school side of the road.
A crossing is needed for the safety of all. The road is extremely busy and the current designated crossing area is often difficult to use due to parked cars and traffic queuing at the lights
I know from picking my grandchildren up from here just how busy the road is - especially with the junction so close. Will it take an accident before action is taken by the council
Make the crossing traffic and pedestrian friendly
Anything to make it safer for kids!
