We the undersigned call on food retailers to introduce a pensioner 'Discount Day' to help older shoppers to cope with the rising cost of living and enable them to maintain a balanced and healthy diet.

I checked the screen and we are almost at five hundred signatures which is just wild because I remember when it was just me and my neighbor talking about this in the grocery aisle. If we could get those final few clicks today I think it would really make the local store managers sit up and finally look at us because honestly they have been ignoring the issue for far too long.

I really thought this might just float around in the void for a while so seeing this kind of movement is honestly overwhelming. It feels like people actually care about how hard it is to pay for groceries now and that gives me a lot of hope that we might actually get someone to listen.

I just blinked and noticed we hit one hundred signatures which frankly feels surreal because I started this on a whim while grabbing groceries. It makes me wonder if anyone else is tired of seeing prices climb while the people who built this world struggle to get by and maybe this is actually going to be something.

I support the Silver Saver' campaign and call on retailers to have 'Discount Days' to help older/mature shoppers to cope with raising costs.
We can find money for other campaigns but nothing for people who have paid taxes etc. alltheir working life.
ABOUT TIME. Big supermarkets make enough profit they can afford to look after the people who built this country.
My pension barely covers the heating this winter. Food prices are just crazy now and we need some help at the checkouts.
I see so many people struggling to buy fresh veg. A discount day would be a life saver for the seniors in my area.
Every little helps. The government cant help, but what off the multi nationals?
