Bright lights, beautiful dresses and brilliant memories to last a lifetime. Every child grows up dreaming of that American style Prom they see in the movies. All of the other schools get to experience this, so why not us?
As SIDE students, we tackle the challenge of completing school whilst simultaneously being full time performing arts students, elite athletes, or having other special circumstances that mean we have to complete our schooling online. In many ways, we are just like any other school kid, but the one thing we do not get to experience is the connections and friendships that come from a large cohort of students who get to spend each day together, face to face.
We strongly believe that a year 11/12 formal would allow us to form these connections and celebrate together.

The emails I keep sending are still being met with silence but I am not walking away from this. It is exhausting to keep pushing for something that should be a given for students like us. We deserve to be seen and we deserve this celebration.

I strongly believe that SIDE should have a formal night, to interact with one another and laugh with one another. This will also allow us to come together as a school and become closer.
I 100% agree with all that your saying. it would be a great way for us all to get together.

about time honestly. skipping out on the normal school stuff is the worst part of side, really hope this actually happens for us
