We, the senior students of Wirt-Emerson Visual and Performing Arts High Ability Academy in Gary, Indiana, affirm and establish that we are the cosigned individuals expressing our belief that we, as the sole fundraising party for the Senior Class of 2016, have the right to spend funds raised, by and for us, the way we see fit. It is our primary goal to fully finance a wondrous prom at the Meyer's Castle in Dyer, Indiana for both juniors and seniors, but administration decision has stopped us from doing so. With this petition, we hope to change the minds of our fellow administration staff at Wirt-Emerson, and continue planning this meaningful event for our last year in high school.

The administration has requested a formal meeting to discuss our reallocation of the senior funds. I am currently preparing the presentation of our budget logs and the specific venue contract for Meyer's Castle to ensure we have a clear path forward.

As the Senior Class President and a fellow Senior, I thank all of you for your support. It is truly appreciated.
Students are financing this event. Why stop them from having a prom they will cherish forever! They deserve it! Remember, we were students before too.Let them do this please.
I feel as the seniors it should be our decision on what to do with the money we raised for us and our prom.
I believe that the senior class of 2016 have worked hard for 12 years to have a dream prom so I believe it should at a facility Of our choice.
We raised the money, prom should be where we choose for it to be. Once in a life time event
We worked so hard for these 12 years please allow us to have our dream prom!!

I feel like if we already paid for part of it, why change now ? These administrative decisions should have came up before we put a down payment on it. Who's going to pay us back the money we already put forth.
