This online petition has been established with the intent to communicate to our neighborhood electricity provider, OEC, the global dissatisfaction with their service. This petition will be presented to OEC formally once everyone who wishe to has had an opportunity to sign. It is my hope that simply presenting the issues residents of our neighborhood face due to the unreliable electricity service will motivate OEC, an electric cooperative, to resolve the power issues in a timely fashion. If they choose not to do so, a susequent petition will be established for those residents who wish to initiate a class action law suit against OEC. If you are a resident of this neighborhood and have experienced issues with your electricity service, such as outages, surges, damage to appliances, heating and air units, etc. we encourage you to sign this petition and leave comments describing any damages or preventative measures you may have incurred or put in place. Thank you for your participation and we hope this will come to resolution quickly and without the need for legal action.

OEC executives cannot ignore the sheer scale of the rage flooding in from our neighborhood anymore. We have built enough momentum to force them to the table and I intend to make them pay for every broken appliance they caused.

The numerous power outages interfere with our active daily living. We do not understand why the outages in our neighborhood are so prevalent: we come from different communities and neighborhoods, and none of us have experienced outages this frequently before.
The power surges have cost is repairs on appliances and other systems. It seems the power is constantly bumping off. It is incredibly disturbing when our power is out and the homes directly across hey 92 have power. I think it is time for another company to take over the needs of Yukon. OEC needs to concentrate on the smaller areas.
We have a newborn son. The unreliability of the electrical service is not only a problem because it hinders our ability to keep our house comfortable for him, we must have our fridge/freezer functional to keep my breastmilk safe for him to drink!
We've had to replace 5 ceiling fans & 1 freezer thus far & we have the whole house protector & a generator. Nothing stops the damage that they are doing to our appliances & hvac units with all of these bumps in service. Totally uncalled for. Worst service we have ever had.
The cost of the product keeps increasing, while the quality of the product significantly decreases. The reliability of the service is disgraceful. Due to this unreliability and the constant stress our appliances are under, we are being forced to install a generator, which will be costing our family $4,000-$6,000. Shame on you OEC.
These outages are daily. They are inconvenient and costly, let alone irritating. We have lived here almost 8 years and are ready for this problem to be fixed properly.
We moved in July of 2013 and the number of outages / surges has been more than we had in the 20 years of service with OGE at the previous address. A, new when we moved in, $2000 refrigerator has been replaced, multiple light fixtures / bulbs replaced, lost revenue due to down time of computers and routers resetting. Bills are always paid on time. Unsatisfactory service is given with no resolution to the issues.

Speaking for a spouse that works from home, the multiple power outages has severely disrupted her abilities to work effectively, not to mention the toll it's taken on household appliances. Unacceptable. Disappointed.
