Furthermore, the new service desk demonstrates a concerning lack of competence and inefficiency in addressing customer issues.
Demands:
- Immediate Price Review and Reduction: We demand a thorough review of the current electricity tariff structure and a significant reduction in prices to a level comparable to the previous provider. This increase is unjustified and constitutes an unreasonable financial burden on residents.
- Transparency and Communication: We request clear and transparent communication regarding the factors contributing to the price hike and the rationale behind choosing the new provider. We also demand regular updates on any ongoing negotiations or efforts to secure more competitive rates.
- Competent and Efficient Service Desk: We demand a drastic improvement in the service desk's performance. Customer Representatives should be knowledgeable, professional, and able to effectively resolve issues promptly.

I spent the entire morning fielding calls from residents who are just as confused as I am about these billing statements because the math really does not make any sense at all. It feels like I am shouting into a void lately but I have finally managed to get a sit-down with the management office to show them exactly what these hikes are doing to our monthly budgets.

I really thought this might just fizzle out in the neighborhood group chat but looking at the momentum now feels surreal because clearly everyone else is feeling the same pinch when those bills arrive. It is honestly such a relief to see that the frustration is shared even if the whole situation with the service desk remains a complete headache.

The prices are soooo different. I used to spend an avg of R28 per day and it hiked to R250 over night? With nothing different happening. Please
I don't stay there longer than 6 days in a month but I'm forced to buy over R600 electricity because it keeps on going down even without anyone being there.
I am not happy with the fixed charges on the app which makes false reading on our daily consumption. I do not understand how my electricity consumption is extraordinary high, I do not have a choice on how to use my funds in my wallet. Up to this day I have not seen my hot water meter, cold water meter as well as my electricity meter.
We are paying more than unimet,and it's difficult for me to understand the system,I'm staying in a 1bed with one kid but I pay like 2k a month for electricity and water
The prices have been increased without warning and have increased to exorbitant amounts which impacts the lives of the residents. This is an unjustified increase and it sometimes leaves households without lights for a number of days. This sudden change has impacted the residents negatively and has no upsides to the change over. This needs to be urgently addressed.

39-3K, disgusted in electricity price tarrifs. We have even cut down in cooking but instead of spending less in electricity we are actually spending more than before and it keeps getting worse. I'd appreciate if you guys could look into this otherwise you gonna start losing tenants because we are not happy with this.
