Utility companies are telling our elected officials, the Attorney Generals office and OK Corporation Commissioners that very few people requested to "opt-out" of AMI (aka Smart Meters) or AMR (modified Smart meter). In fact, PSO told a legislator fewer than 50 people chose to "opt-out" in their service area. Is this figure accurate or is PSO misleading our elected officials?
This petition is to provide a more accurate accounting to Oklahoma elected officials, the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, of the actual number of Oklahomans desiring an "opt-out" of the AMI or AMR digital meters.

- You wanted to "opt-out" but weren't given the option
- You requested an opt out and your utility company has placed a digital meter AMI (Smart meter) or AMR (modified Smart Meter) on your home and you would prefer a non-digital analog meter
- You have safety concerns (increased risk of house fire)
- You have privacy concerns (real time data collection 24 hrs/day)
- You have health concerns (a percentage of the population experiences a negative health reaction when exposed to continuous electro-magnetic radiation)
We have a chance to fight back with real numbers - a chance to show that it isn't just a handful of noisy activists that don't want to conform.

we just hit 100 signatures and im honestly stoked that so many people are showing up for this. pso said there were barely any of us but this proves they were totally wrong about the numbers.

i honestly cant believe how fast this is growing. utility companies keep telling people nobody cares about this issue but the momentum here proves them wrong.

I signed up originally for Opt-Out but recently yielded to bully tactics (threats to turn off power and additional charges). Now, I've lost power to my shed lighting (about three weeks after Smart Meter installation).
Citizens should not be forced to allow potentially hazardous equipment to be placed on their property. Alternatives should be provided for those affected by such hazardous (i.e. microwave-emitting) equipment.
Ever since those new meters were put in, my elec bill doubled. Also it is never consistant no matter what. I went on vacation for two weeks and was not even home. I left nothing on. That months bill was a little more than the previous bill, which I stayed home all month. Things need to change
I didn't want one, notified OG&E, testified at an Oklahoma Corporation Commission administrative hearing, posted notice of same on my analog meter. Contractors switched the meter while I was away from home. My primary concerns were and are RF exposure and privacy.
PSO. I live in Owasso, and we were not given an option as to whether or not we wanted the meter. We got it anyway. And we should NOT have to pay a fee to get an analog meter, nor should we have to pay a monthly fee for that analog meter. I feel like we were steamrollered.

I've had it with smart meters. Making me sick and I recently had a dog die from a heart attack and stroke. Time the meters are thrown in the trash heap where they belong!

I know many (myself included) have wanted to opt-out for PSO meters, but it costs $28 per month. Not many people will shell out $28 per month, but they are experiencing electrosensitivity from exposure to microwave radiation (from cell phones, cell towers, smart meters, wi-fi, etc.).
