The management just confirmed that parking fees are being scrapped at the Livingston Centre. I am honestly stunned that this happened and it is entirely because you kept the pressure on. This win belongs to every person who signed.

We the undersigned call for the scrapping of car parking charges at the Livingston Centre after the third hike in recent years.
Since the charges were first introduced in June 2011, they have increased three fold with no guarantee that they will not be increased again in the future and without any exemption for people with disabilities.
We note that comparable shopping centres, such as The Gyle, Hermiston Gait, Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh all offer free car parking.
We believe that the ever increasing car parking charges at Livingston are deterring people from using the Centre, which is having a negative impact on local shops and businesses.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have joined this effort to get rid of these parking fees. We are nearly at one hundred signatures and the strength behind this movement is entirely thanks to your willingness to speak up. Please keep pushing this forward because showing them how many of us feel this way is the only path to change.

I totally agree .at the last increase in charges I spoke to the centre management but was told that chzrges were comparable to other carparks in the area which is nonsense
I am against the parking charges, we have have to pay each time we visit the shops. Because we are local we attend the Livingston Centre at least 4 times a week. This is costing £16 - £20 per month.
down in centre two or three times a week and the amount I pay in parking charges is unbelievable, we are now going to as many others outlets and even garden centres for coffee and shopping, in fact I think it is time to move elsewhere!
against paying car park charges to shop . are land securities not making enough money from the stores rent that they have to charge to park your car to shop in them
Free parking at all other shopping venues, suchs as braehead, the fort, the Gyle etc. Nonsensical to charge for pricing and the rate of increases wll out of line with infaltion and hard pressed families.

Scrap it or if there must be fees, have a flat fee of £1 (backed by 4hr maximum)

Shocking system. These practices in the long term only harm trade and the local economy as people will chose to spend their money where they are not penalised for parking where they chose to shop.
