Glasgow Airport Pick Up Car Park charges
Many people need to pick up friends and family from Glasgow airport – and are hit by a penal scale of charges levied by NCP and Glasgow Airport at the Pick Up car park.
- £2 for the first 10 minutes
- £3 for 20 minutes
- An amazing £10 if you go over an hour
Even to go in, pick up someone and go straight out costs £2 for the privilege.
[**However, disabled passengers with a blue badge are allowed 30 minutes free.]
The result is an almighty pile up at the Drop Off zone as people try to avoid the parking charges. It simply doesn’t work!
Liberal Democrat Councillor Robert Brown and Rutherglen Liberal Democrats have now launched this campaign against the Pick Up parking charges at Glasgow Airport.

i have travelled from glasgow airport on business for 35 years,now retired.I now drop off my son at least twice per week at 5.45 and in the evenings at 8.30.The congestion in the morning is totally unacceptable and is caused by a combination of airport approach network and nothing to do with people dropping off or picking up .It would more fitting for the md to listen to the commuter than attempting to justify these costs and also the inconvenience caused. The transport structure is inadequate for the traffic and there is no public transport ,also the airport is too busy 1st thing and too quiet after 9.00 The majority of early travellers are business people trying to commute. glasgow airport should listen rather than self promoting how good they are when it is obviously not the case
Corporate greed at its best!!...not so long ago,you could pick up and drop off in car park 2, you where given 10 mins with no charge. How come we have arrived at £2 for the same ten mins???????
