Many Towns in the surrounding area have formed Dog Park Groups in order to promote and build a dog park.
If Borough Council of Schuylkill Haven chooses to move forward with a Dog Park, we will need to form a Dog Park sub committee of Schuylkill Haven residents. This sub committee will be charged with the task of assisting in planning, helping to maintain, and building the park.
We are reaching out to the Schuylkill Haven residents to volunteer to be on this committee.
Non residents can also volunteer but we want to demonstrate to the Council that the residents want this park. We will not turn anyone away who wants to help; there will be plenty of work for everyone especially during construction.

The Borough Council is watching our progress and they want to see a clear list of residents ready to put in the work. Send a quick email to your council member today to confirm your interest in the subcommittee. We need to prove that this park has the local backing it needs to break ground.

The momentum behind this dog park proposal is growing faster than I anticipated. Post this link on your neighborhood Facebook groups today to keep the pressure on our local leaders. Text three neighbors and urge them to sign up to join our planning committee.

Yes please! My rescue pup is super shy and a fenced in area would be perfect for training.
I've been a Haven resident for quite some time and have a pure bred Siberian Husky. It would be nice to have a place to let him run and become familiar with other pups!

Finally! Our golden retriever needs somewhere to burn off some steam. Tired of driving to Pottsville just to find a spot for him to run.
