The City of Hagerstown is finally proposing our first off-leash dog park in Hager Park near Municipal Stadium. This park would be an organized area for dogs to exercise, socialize, and play. The City will only build this with the support of the community!
Hagerstown's City Council are unsure if this is something citizens want!
Please sign this petition to let Hagerstown's City Council know you approve and want an area for our dogs to play!
Update: The City of Hagerstown has assigned an independent citizen Dog Park Task Force to take a closer look at various locations for an off-leash dog park, discuss what types amenities that the proposed park should have and then periodically report back to the city council with recommendations.
We have a goal to receive at least 1,000 signatures by the time we return to Mayor & Council. Please share this petition with your friends!

We hit 250 signatures today and the work feels heavier than I anticipated when I started this. I am drained by the resistance we face but seeing this many names keeps me tethered to the goal.

The grind is exhausting but watching the signature count creep toward one hundred reminds me why I started this. We need to push harder because the council will only listen if they see a clear majority backing this park.

About time! My golden retriever needs somewhere to burn off energy besides the living room carpet.
HAGERSTOWN DOGS NEED THIS. tired of driving forever just to let my pup run around a bit.
Need to make sure there is shade and water stations. Hager summers are brutal on the dogs
finally some good news for the neighborhood. hope they keep it clean
My rescue dog is super shy and would love a fenced in area to practice socializing lol

this would be a great addition to the city offerings of Hagerstown. Separate areas for large and small dogs.
