The government has officially confirmed that O'Neill Army Barracks will remain open and operational. This outcome belongs to everyone who recognized the value of our local military presence and refused to accept its loss. We must now remain attentive as the transition unfolds to ensure this commitment is honored fully.

Keep the barracks open!! Disgraceful treatment of our soldiers who are part of the heartbeat of this town.
Cavan needs this base. Its not just about the soldiers its about the jobs and the families here too.
Total madness. CAVAN STANDS WITH OUR SOLDIERS.
Ridiculous decision. The gov has no idea how much this place means to the community.
We need to support our local army families stay where they are. Stop the closure now.

Why shut it down? Makes no sense to move everyone. Leave it be.
