Cavell House is the only Bradford Council workplace nursery. It has been providing high quality child care since 1988.
In December 2007 it was announced to parents, with no prior consultation, that the centre was to close in August 2008.
The latest Ofsted report gives Cavell House an \'outstanding\' rating.
Closing this centre will affect the 70 families whose children attend the centre and 18 highly knowledgable childcare staff staff could be made redundant.
It will also remove a valuable resource for local further education colleges who use the centre to place students who are studying for childcare qualifications.
Please add your name to the petition and support us in preventing Bradford Council closing this valuable resource.
If you use or have used Cavell House because your post meant you were more comfortable with a protected environment for your personal health and safety as well as child\'s please add a comment to this effect.
Thank you to everyone who has signed it so far. Some of the comments really show how much of a benefit this resource is to Bradford District.
We are approaching 250 signatures and need to hit this goal to force a response from the council leaders. Text this link to three people right now and ask them to add their names before the session starts. Post the link on your Facebook feed to reach people outside our immediate network.

Used to send my son here years ago and it was brilliant then too. Such a shame they want to destroy something that actually works.

Total madness. Why close a place that the experts give an outstanding rating to? Bradford council needs to get their priorities straight.
