Re-zoning this site will allow for a second, full-service residential waste collection depot steps away from the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange. Support local community recycling by letting City Council and City staff know that you SAY NO to re-zoning 2375 Hayes Road. If re-zoning is allowed to happen... -concentration of waste management services in one area of Nanaimo when other areas are in need -NO full bottle refund site for Nanaimo's south end -removal of the ability for your local recyclables to generate more opportunities in this community for recycling and for environmental protection -local non-profit with deep roots within the community will suffer to the benefit of a private, for-profit company
