The local government is trying to move forward while ignoring the lack of formal hearings on this transfer station. Call your council members today to tell them that these zoning shortcuts are unacceptable. Post this link on your social media pages so our neighbors know exactly what is happening in our backyard.

As a local business owner I do not think it's wise to put a transfer station in downtown Statham. Lets face it, trash is trash and it stinks...who wants to come to a city to shop if it stinks.
No Dump in Statham!! It will directly effect this small town in a very negative way. Right beside a park and neighborhoods. Ruining home life and property value.
In Winder on 316 it stinks, would hate that in our town unless they want to cut me a check for half of my property value as of today
This would make the small town to Statham other people's dumping grounds, test up our roads from all the big trucks and the awful smell will drive people away.
We do not need to devalue our homes, be a breeding ground for rodents, roaches and other forms of unwanted vermin.

The fact that residents of statham were neither informed nor consulted about this project is very troubling. The law requires public notification and public hearings before any votes are taken by city officials. They were not mislead. They knew exactly what they were doing. Hold them accountable
