This is a petition for the residential taxpayers of Carroll Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma NY, to say NO to the proposition of the construction of a Sonic-fast food restaurant on our block. SAY NO TO SONIC if you feel these key factors are important to your and your family: -The values of each of our homes will severely plummet if the Sonic is built, depreciating the value of homes on Carroll avenue and its surrounding blocks. -The drive through traffic and consumer's garbage and pollution would be further spread to our block. -We already have a Mcdonald's on Carroll Avenue and do NOT want another fast food chain so close to the schools in our area. -We are a residential area and DO NOT want to be zoned as a business district in the town of Brookhaven. Carroll Avenue is used as a main thorough-fare to our volunteer Firefighters and traffic at Sonic would greatly impede their timely arrival for emergency situations. When enough signatures are collected, this petition will be submitted to the Town of Brookhaven. Thank you for all of your support and cooperation.
