Please sign this petition if you oppose the plan to build a gas station/car wash at the corner of Lawton Road and Route 31. The addition of a gas station to this corner will directly effect the traffic flow in and around our neighborhood. With 3 gas stations on Route 31 less than a mile from the proposed location- building in our neighborhood is NOT necessary. Our property value will drop as noise pollution and traffic increases. It will be a complete eye sore to all surrounding houses. Let's keep this neighborhood a quiet and beautiful place we call home.

I have spent my evenings reading your messages and thinking about how much our quiet streets define who we are here. Keeping this neighborhood safe for our families is the only reason I started this project. Please know that I am currently documenting every concern to present at the upcoming zoning hearing.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who refuses to let our neighborhood be destroyed by unnecessary construction. It means the world to see neighbors fight alongside me to protect the place where we raise our families.

-There are FOUR gas stations 2 tenths of a mile down the SAME road. -DO not add more traffic to our residential area!
This is not necessary as there are more than enough gas stations in the area already! We do NOT need the traffic, we definitely dont need another gas station and another car wash in Cicero is ridiculous! What happened to going outside and washing your own car?
I do not support a change in zoning that will be detrimental to the homeowners of Lawton Valley. Traffic cutting through the neighborhood to avoid the added congestion at Lawton and 31 will directly impact the safety of the residential streets nearby. Furthermore the added lights and noise will present undue disturbance at all hours to adjoining properties.
No! Lawton rd. cannot handle the current traffic load. There are no sidewalks, curbs, or shoulders. Building a convenience store will only make matters worse.
There are numerous reasons why I am against this proposal. The noise pollution, increase in traffic, lighting issues and potential environmental concerns name just a few. A residential area is not the proper location for this type of business. The town should try to improve the residents' quality of life- not approve plans that will diminish it.
The added noise pollution and air pollution is of great concern. Another concern is people loitering and causing trouble. The lot now looks like a dump and needs to be cleaned up.

This proposed gas station is not needed in this area. It will damage the livelihood of the nearby community and neighbors all while endangering the local residents. Noise pollution, light pollution, and hazourdous materials in close proximity to homes.
