I have spent my mornings walking the stretch of Algonquin Road near the park to see the proposed sign location for myself. The danger of adding a distraction to such a busy turn becomes clearer every time I see a car swerve to avoid that intersection. We are currently preparing to bring these specific safety concerns directly to the village board.

Seeing this groundswell of support is honestly overwhelming for me because I drive by that dangerous intersection every single day and know exactly how reckless this project is. Your momentum proves I am not the only person who feels like our neighborhood safety is being ignored for a wasteful ego project.

Are they crazy? Its dangerous enough with people flying down Algonquin. Dont make it worse just to show off village updates nobody reads anyway.
Fix the police budget before buying electronics. This is so fiscally irresponsible its not even funny. Very disappointed in the village board.
STOP THE SIGN.
That intersection is already a nightmare. I hate driving there as it is without some giant light flashing in my face. Bad idea for everyone involved.
Why ruin the park trees for a blinking billboard? We live here for the green space not to see ads while driving to work. Leave it alone.
