The Undersigned Residents of Eastleigh & Chandler's Ford and/or Frequent Travellers on Leigh Road, A335, strongly oppose the construction of a McDonalds Drive-Thru restaurant and Starbucks at the site of the ex council offices on Leigh Road, Eastleigh. We believe that this project, if permitted, will result in:

- Greater volumes of traffic on already busy roads

- Free meeting place for crowds of youths

- Increasing amounts of litter

- Possibility of vermin

- Noise pollution

- Targeting local school children

- Increasing risk of diabetes & obesity

This site should.be used for affordable housing which local and central government claim is in short supply EBC should use sites like this for housing supply instead of the willful destruction of our countryside because it's cheap to build on green field sites.

The area is already heavily congested with vehicles. Being close to the Fleming Park which is used by families, any more traffic would cause extra risks for young children. We already have enough eating establishments in and around Eastleigh

These chains will certainly harm the new community cafe just opened at Pavilion on the Park. The community cafe is a project supported by Eastleigh Borough Council so I am surprised that the council would support commercial competitors on our door step.

How ridiculous, we should be promoting more healthier lifestyles for our future generations not encouraging more obesity!! How about a new primary school or GP surgery to help our already over subscribed ones we have now!!

on the edge of our beautiful parks, we have lost a golf course to make way for lovely dog walks and park runs for example, the litter alone would be devastating to the area. Myself and my son love eating the odd mcdonalds but the location is wrong!!

Homes are required on this site not A fast food outlet. At a cost of £24 million rate payers money EBC are planning a new sports centre next to a fast food outlet. Not a good advert for healthy living is it EBC.

There are issues of children being over weight & saying what an unhealthy country this has become..so I ask..how are things to improve by putting up yet another fast food restaurant....
